I paid £1000 for a deeper foundation to my Persimmon Home and for additional NHBC Buildmark cover. After six months the conservatory started to subside so I had to claim on my household insurance as Persimmon Homes and NHBC did not accept this. Direct Line Insurance made a full investigation March 2003 and concluded it had been built incorrectly surprise  surprise the NHBC still will not accept this report that the foundation and brickwork should be rebuilt.
